    Dye Learning Center is where you'll find the library and free academic tutoring

  • The Learning Center at Clackamas Community College offers a welcoming environment for students to get the academic support they need. The center is located in the Dye Building on the Oregon City campus and offers a variety of computer labs, tutoring and academic services. It is an open and accessible space, and inspires people to engage in lifetime learning. Welcome!

  • What we offer:

    Math Lab

    Drop-in (no appointment) math tutoring is available in the Learning Center on the Oregon City Campus and at the Harmony campus. Appointments are available at our Online Schedule. In the Math Lab, students can obtain one-to-one help for their math homework and in preparation for exams.     Science Tutoring
    The Science Department offers tutoring in the Chemistry Help Center in Pauling 165 and in the Learning Center (near the Math Lab). The Science Department provides an Anatomy & Physiology Study Room in Pauling 145.  Many students also use the first floor in DeJardin as a place to study in groups.  Please call 503-594-3345, or email Naomi Sether at naomis@clackamas.edu for information. The Dye Learning Lab has additional Science tutoring including biology, chemistry, physics, engineering and more.     Writing Center
    The Writing Center offers tutoring services to students at all stages of the writing process. Students may bring in assignments from any course, professional writing tasks, creative writing, resumes, cover letters, and applications. Both appointments and drop-in times are available. The Writing Center is located in the Dye Learning Center. Call 503-594-6275 or go to the Writing Center website for more information or to make an appointment. Writing Center hours are also offered in the Nursing Library at Harmony Campus. Some online assistance is available.     Academic Computing Lab and Technology Tutoring

    Academic Computing Lab in the Learning Center offers computer access and "drop-in" tutoring support for a variety of needs such as accessing information on Moodle, using Microsoft Office applications, and printing. Business and Computer Science tutors are available during all open lab hours. Click on the PDF to view a comprehensive list of classes our tutors can assist you with.

    Accounting Tutoring
    Drop-in (no appointment) accounting tutoring is available in the Academic Computing Lab in the Learning Center.  Students can obtain help with their homework, prepare for exams, or get help navigating MyAccountingLab.  Help is available for BA 111, 211, 212 & 213. Our Accounting Tutoring flyer is available online as well.
    Library
     CCC Library offers tens of thousands of print books, eBooks, electronic journals and magazines, print newspapers, magazines and journals, streaming videos, and compact discs – both in the library and online from anywhere. Access our electronic resources from off-campus by visiting our website and logging in using your CCC username and password. Get help 24/7 from a librarian using the chat service available on our website, or by email, by phone, or by stopping by the library during open hours. Librarians teach and assist students with all research-related tasks, including using the library, developing research topics, and finding, evaluating, and citing sources. Librarians also provide course-integrated instruction and formal library instruction via LIB-101. Other services include interlibrary loan, course reserves, calculator and headphone rental, printing, copying, and scanning. CCC Library is available for use by students, faculty, staff, and the general public.     Subject-Area Tutoring
    The Learning Center provides individual and small group tutoring in many subjects. Tutors are available by request, with some drop-in tutoring and some by appointment. Limited services are available at Harmony Campus and Wilsonville in some subjects. To request subject area tutoring, call 503-594-3070, or email our tutoring coordinator Josh Aman at tutoring@clackamas.edu.  Students can also access free online tutoring up to 7 hours a term through Smarthinking.  Students can access Smarthinking by clicking on the icon at the top right of Moodle's homepage.
