OREGON CITY – Learn to sing, write songs and perform live during Clackamas Community College’s Contemporary Voices Summer Music Camp, which runs July 17-21, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., in the Niemeyer Center, 19600 Molalla Ave., Oregon City.

This camp is ideal for high school students as well as adults (junior high students will be considered). Hosted by the Music Department and led by Director of Vocal Music Dr. Kathleen Hollingsworth, the five-day camp includes sessions in:

  • Choir rehearsal
  • Practical music skills
  • Songwriting
  • Circle singing
  • Live performances

Every day, after dinner, 6-9 p.m., campers have the opportunity to stay and work in CCC’s studios and leave at the end of camp with a professional recording.

Camp cost is $150. Recording sessions are an additional $50. A limited number of scholarships are available.
