Integrated Pest Management
Integrated pest management is a strategy that combines sanitation and cultural, biological and mechanical controls to reduce pest populations. Examples include using pest-resistant plants, maintaining landscapes and spraying. Integrated pest management decides the best course of action for pest control while reducing the environmental and economic impacts.
The college will provide 24-hour notice of planned applications. The notice will remain in effect for 72 hours post-application, except in cases of emergency.

Pesticide Application (Wilsonville campus)
Staff will be using Fastrac Soft Bait traps throughout the campus exterior (not in the building). The active ingredient is Bromethalin and the EPA No. is 12455-149

April 15-May 15 Weed Control Application (all campuses)
Between Monday, April 15 and Wednesday, May 15, staff will be applying Defendor (EPA# 62719-560) to control weeds in the turf areas on the Oregon city, Wilsonville, and Harmony campuses. Signage will be posted in the areas to be treated 24hrs prior to treatments. Applications will be made between 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.; re-entry when dry.

May 7-June 7 Weed Control Application (all campuses)
Between Tuesday, May 7 and Friday, June 5, staff will be applying Ranger Pro EPA No. 524-517 to control weeds and grasses in the bed areas on the Oregon city, Wilsonville, and Harmony campuses. Signage will be posted in the areas to be treated 24 hours prior to treatments. Re-entry available when dry.

May 12-June 30 Pesticide Application (Oregon City)
Between Sunday, May 12 and Sunday, June 30, between 8 a.m.-5 p.m., staff will be applying the following pesticides at the Home Orchard Education Center at the Oregon City campus: Cyd-X (caution), EPA No. 70051-44 (re-entry after four hours), Surround (caution), EPA No. 61842-18 (re-entry after four hours) and Hi-Yield Wettable Sulfur (caution), EPA No. 7401-188-34911 (re-entry after 24 hours).
