2024 Commencement Ceremony
Clackamas Community College will be hosting a Commencement Ceremony for our graduates on Friday, June 14, 2024 on the Oregon City campus (19600 Molalla Ave., Oregon City, OR 97045) at the Holden Industrial Technology Center.
2024 ceremony details
- Who is the ceremony for?
- Summer 2023, Fall 2023, Winter 2024 college degree/certificate, Adult High School Diploma and GED recipients.
- Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 college degree/certificate, Adult High School Diploma applicants for graduation and GED recipients.
- Timing: The ceremony begins promptly at 4 p.m.; plan for the ceremony to last at least 2.5 hours.
- Students need to arrive by 3 p.m.; no later than 3:45 p.m.
- Doors open for guest seating at 3 p.m.
- Students need to arrive by 3 p.m.; no later than 3:45 p.m.
- Weather: This will be an outdoor event and will happen "rain or shine."
- The seating area for graduates and the main stage will be tented; all other seats will be exposed to the elements.
- Keep an eye on the weather and dress for the weather.
- Guests/graduates will be walking on uneven surfaces; high heels are NOT recommended.
- Registration: Registration for the ceremony is required!
- Registration will take place under a platform called Marching Order
- Log in instructions will be sent in an email to all eligible students when registration opens
- ADA accommodation information will be collected for graduates and guests at the time of registration
- Cap and gown information will be collected
- Graduates will request the number of guest tickets needed
- Registration will take place under a platform called Marching Order
- Ticketing: Guest tickets are required.
- Graduates will be allowed a maximum of 5 tickets
- Guests under the age of one does not need a ticket
- Graduates do not need a ticket
- Graduates are responsible to give their guests their tickets
- Cap and gowns: Cap and gowns are free.
- Cap & gowns are expected to be worn by students at the ceremony
- Honors:
- Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through Winter 2024 or last completed term will be notated in the Ceremony Program and given a gold cord to wear at the ceremony
- Students can check their cumulative GPA through Self-Service under Unofficial Transcript.

Graduation Announcement and Accessories
CCC has partnered with Jostens to help with all your graduation announcement and accessory needs.
Reminder
If you have not applied for graduation yet, you need to complete the Application for Graduation form online through Self-Service to have your degree/certificate awarded officially by the college. This is the official process for notifying CCC that you are finishing your program. This is separate from registering to attend the Commencement Ceremony.
GED recipients do not need to apply for graduation but need to be complete by May 10th to make it into the ceremony program.
The deadlines to apply for graduation for each term are as follows:
- Spring 2024: May 10, 2024
- Summer 2024: May 10, 2024, in order to make it into the ceremony program
Be respectful and have fun!
- Ensure proper travel time to the college for the ceremony for you and your guests
- Plan for the weather!
- Plan on you and your guests to stay for the entire event to give all graduates their time to shine to celebrate their accomplishments and allow their loved ones to enjoy seeing them walk across the stage
- Make your dinner reservations for a night of celebration!
