March 19, 2024 - Rose City Brass Trio
In honor of Women's History Month, Rose City Brass Trio explores an array of trio music written by contemporary women composers. This performance has been graciously fully-funded by the Music Performance Trust Fund and the Musicians' Union Local 99.
Made up of some of Portland’s finest brass chamber musicians, Rose City Brass Trio – Jen Harrison (Horn) Lars Campbell (Trombone), and Joseph Klause (Trumpet) – formed in 2018 with a mission to discover, rehearse, and perform the often unheard, but sophisticated literature from the brass trio repertoire.
Ranging from baroque transcriptions to new commissions, RCBT reveals the versatility and virtuosity of brass instruments as they navigate the intimate and richly colorful textures of the trio repertoire.
