Integrated pest management

Integrated pest management is a strategy that combines sanitation and cultural, biological and mechanical controls to reduce pest populations. Examples include using pest-resistant plants, maintaining landscapes and spraying. Integrated pest management decides the best course of action for pest control while reducing the environmental and economic impacts.

The college will provide 24-hour notice of planned applications. The notice will remain in effect for 72 hours post-application, except in cases of emergency.

    July 27-Aug. 21 fungicide application (Home Orchard Education Center)

    Spray applications will take place at the Home Orchard Education Center orchard between July 27 and Aug. 21 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

  • Aug 14

    Weed control Aug. 14- Sept. 14 (all campuses)

    We will be using Ranger-Pro EPA# 524-517 to control weeds and grasses in the bed areas on the Oregon city-Wilsonville-Harmony campuses Aug.14-Sept. 14. Signage will be posted in the areas to be treated 24 hours prior to treatments. Applications will be made between 5 a.m.-2 p.m. Re-entry is when dry.

    Aug. 19 weed control (Oregon City campus)

    Clackamas soil and water district will have a weed specialist completing a spray on Poison Oak on Wednesday, Aug. 19. They will be using Pathfinder 11 EPA# 62719-176 to complete the application. This treatment will be along the walking path that cuts through to Oregon City High School. They will be posting signage as well.
