Advanced College is a dual credit program at Clackamas Community College that allows students to earn both high school and college credit for some of their high school courses that have been reviewed and approved by CCC faculty. Two courses are said to be "articulated" when the high school college-level course has the same student learning outcomes, curriculum content and rigor of assessment as the college course. Course titles may differ between the high school college-level course and the articulated college course, but the course materials, content and instructional quality are consistent with courses offered by CCC. Because ACC courses are the result of alignment between high school and college courses at CCC, not all high school courses are eligible. Please visit our High School Course List page for the courses available at each high school we work with.

    Our Purpose

The purpose of the Advanced College Credit Program is to provide eligible high school students the opportunity to experience more challenging coursework and to begin earning college credit while still enrolled in high school – saving students both time and money as they begin their college career. Credits students earn through the ACC program can apply directly to certificates and degrees at CCC, or they may be transferable directly to other colleges and universities. Please note: It is always up to the receiving institution on how/if credit will apply to their degree programs, so be sure to check with your specific school.
