OREGON CITY -- Many students attend Clackamas Community College with the goal of transferring to a four-year university. Learn about CCC's transfer options during the annual Transfer Day event Jan. 17, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the community center on the Oregon City campus, 19600 Molalla Ave.
CCC provides an affordable alternative to students who plan to earn a bachelor's degree at a four-year university. Students who start their four-year degree at a community college save thousands on the cost of their education. Research shows that students who start at a community college and transfer to a university have a higher graduation rate than those who start at a university.
At Transfer Day, meet with representatives from more than 25 colleges and universities. Participants will gain insight into each school's offerings, admissions requirements, recommended courses, navigating college costs and financial aid, and tools to make the transition as seamless as possible. Additional information about Ford Family scholarships will be available along with door prizes. CCC advising staff will be on hand to answer questions.
Colleges participating in this year's Transfer Day include: Concordia University, Corban University, Eastern Oregon University, George Fox University, Grand Canyon University, Lewis & Clark College, Linfield College, Marylhurst University, Multnomah University, Northwest Christian University, Northwest University, OHSU School of Nursing, Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, Oregon State University, Oregon State University Cascades, Oregon Tech, OSAC-Office of Student Access and Completion, Pacific Lutheran University, Pacific University, Portland State University, Southern Oregon University, The Art Institute of Portland, University of Oregon and University of Portland.
